Two 24th-Place Finishes for Andreas Kofler at Magny-Cours
After a break of nearly two months, the ninth round of the Supersport World Championship awaited Andreas Kofler and Team Motorsport Kofler in France. The Austrian rider finished 24th in both races at the Magny-Cours circuit.
"It was a difficult weekend. We realized after the summer break that we were lagging behind a bit. My riding was very good, especially in the second race before it was stopped," said the 22-year-old, who had crashed on Friday due to an oil spill, resulting in a 31st-place finish in Superpole.
He finished 24th in the first race; the second race was stopped and restarted, and in that one, the Austrian managed to work his way up from 27th to 24th. "Unfortunately, we lost touch with the top 20 early on due to a few battles and overtaking maneuvers, but it was a positive conclusion," he summed up.
